February 2010

Congratulations to Roy who was the first to let me know about the typos in last month’s Newsletter!  Roy received an extra 15 minutes at his last massage treatment.  So when are YOU going to share your opinion?

I hope you have enjoyed the school holidays.  To all the parents whose children are starting school this year, remind them to ‘prepare for the long journey ahead, there will be good days and bad, but if you stay strong you will have memories and friends to last a life time!’

As summer continues, remember it is important to to stay out of the worst of the sun and keep yourself hydrated with lots and lots of water. It’s good for your skin and your digestion as well as preventing you from turning into a dried-up, wrinkly prune!

And to all the romantics out there, I hope you had a wonderful Valentine’s Day and give the gift of massage – it has far fewer calories than chocolate!

Humour

Since I spend a fair amount of time at the Melton Library I found this joke rather cute!

Searching in my library for two books by communications expert Deborah Tannen turned into an Abbott and Costello routine.
“What’s the first book?” the librarian asked.
“That’s Not What I Meant,” I said.
“Well, what did you mean?”
“That’s the title of the book,” I explained.
“Okay.” She looked at me a little skeptically. “And the other book?”
“You Just Don’t Understand.”
“Excuse me?” I got both books. Eventually.
